Tips for Preventing Low Back Pain

Tips and tricks to prevent pain and stay healthy, for adults:

- Exercise regularly! ACSM recommends moderate aerobic activity, like walking, at least 30 minutes x 5 times per week (150-300 minutes per week)- Muscle strengthening is important at least 2 days per week, but avoid heavy lifting (try focusing on more repetitions instead)- Don’t forget about posture! For example, try sitting more upright and preventing the “slouched” position- If lifting, use proper squat technique with hip hinge and maintain a straight back.
