Breath work During pregnancy

Diaphragmatic breathing with a band

Purpose:

  • To improve core strength, reduce stress, control movement, and others

  • The band will help provide feedback

How to perform:

  • Inhale, expand your belly and rib cage into the band, feeling the band stretch

  • Exhale: gently retract your rib cage and draw your belly inward, feeling the band lose tension as abdominal pressure decreases
