Do I need a prescription to come for physical therapy?
In the state of Georgia, you do not need a referral for a physical therapy evaluation for up 8 treatments, or within 21 days from the first visit, whichever comes first. If therapy is indicated beyond 8 sessions or after 21 days, you will need to obtain a referral from a physician to continue.
Why is Stability different from other physical therapy clinics?
Stability Pilates and Physical Therapy of Atlanta sees each patient one-on-one, and each patient is given an individualized treatment plan per their specific needs. Stability strives to be a liaison between all your healthcare professionals, and our aim is to make you feel like your healthcare needs are being met both physically and emotionally.
What do I need for my first appointment with a physical therapist at Stability?
In order to see a therapist at Stability, you need to have a physician’s order for physical therapy. Please wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing so the therapist can fully assess your injury. We also recommend that you come 15 minutes early so we can obtain a thorough health history.
Will my insurance cover my physical therapy sessions?
We are happy to accept patients with Medicare for physical therapy. As a non-participating provider with Medicare, patients are responsible for full payment at time of service. Patients are then reimbursed approximately 70-80% of payments made by Medicare. Please call to inquire for more information about our Medicare rates.
