jessica loncar

MS, PT, OCS, Cert. MDT

Jessica Loncar first became interested in movement, fitness and physical health during her years as a competitive gymnast. This interest grew stronger after she volunteered for many years at Camp Dream Street, a camp for children with physical disabilities. She began practicing physical therapy in Atlanta in 1999, after graduating from Tulane University and receiving her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She continues to pursue education in the field, including multiple courses in manual therapy, real-time ultrasound, neurodynamics and advanced problem solving for physical therapists. Jessica’s serious interest in Pilates as an adjunct to her physical therapy practice began after attending a Pilates course for healthcare professionals in 2002. After using the new exercises with her patients in an outpatient orthopedic practice and seeing fantastic results, she pursued her STOTT PILATES® certification. She became one of the few STOTT PILATES® Rehab Instructor Trainers in April 2009. She is able to train and certify other physical therapists in the field of Pilates in rehabilitation. Jessica specializes in the treatment of a variety of spine and extremity conditions, and is a credentialed McKenzie Institute® therapist as well as a Board-Certified Physical Therapy Specialist in Orthopedics. She is also certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN), Core Barre ™ and Piloxing®.

Jessica is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Physical Therapy Association of Georgia, and the Pilates Method Alliance. She has contributed to the Better Health section of the Atlanta Journal Constitution as a freelance writer and is pleased to be on the editorial panel of the Best Self Atlanta magazine.

Jessica has always enjoyed personally connecting with her clients. She has the technical knowledge and training as well as the concerned and encouraging attitude that best contribute to a client’s meeting their rehabilitation and fitness goals. Opening Stability Pilates and Physical Therapy is the realization of a dream for her, both personally and professionally. She knows that offering a wide range of services in a one-on-one setting like that offered at Stability is the best possible way to both assist her patients and to practice her profession.
