How going to Stability has made me Stable!
I have been a client of Stability Pilates and Physical Therapy for over two years now and I love it. My journey started because I was having terrible neck and back pain while on my job. I was able to come here and get relief and learn how to properly sit and position myself on my job while maintaining correct posture. As I continue to come to the studio, I learn other strategies that help me with other health concerns I deal with.
In 2009, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and my first onset was Optic Neuritis. For many that don’t know, Optic Neuritis is an inflammation of the optic nerve and for about 15 to 20% of people that have MS; Optic Neuritis is their first sign. It took my center vision and left me with poor peripheral vision in my right eye. At Stability, I have been able to learn balancing techniques due to my partial vision loss. I have been able to seek assistance from the ladies in dealing with pain management with my MS as well. I currently take a weekly medication for the control of my MS and sometimes it can cause bad headaches, pains and aches, but I have learned different techniques from my therapist Autumn that allows me to deal with the pain better. She has taught me simple approaches such as proper stretching skills, making a rice sock for pain relief, and having the proper form at the gym for my at home care to help me cope much better.
They are so encouraging and thoughtful that I no longer think of the ladies as physical therapists but family. I have gotten so much stronger and feel so much better after coming to Stability.
